Mateo Ruiz González is a lens-based artist and researcher
from Bogotá, Colombia, currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
Through his interest in cultural beliefs variables -- fact and myth -- his
his practice often splitted between personal and documentary work,
describes and responds to settings of human behavior, and its
emotional nexus with the land, while exploring how time alters the
relations between the two.
